About the Artist

Hi! I am a self taught artist with a huge passion for character design, and concept art. Every time I watch a cartoon with my kids, I imagine working on the team that created it.

There’s something magical about art. As a kid, it was my escape, passion, adventure, and dream. You know, it still is today!
I started drawing at a very young age, and I hope to keep a pencil in my hand for as long as I can.
The reason why I love to draw, is the mystery that it holds. You don’t know what sort of creation or character will come to life, and it’s all up to you to make it an interesting one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Well, hear this goes again(speaking of not being totally with this blog thing 🙂 We headed down to Portland, a bit of a jaunt from the country. Nonetheless the anticipation of laying my hands on SketchBooks drove me well. After pouring over several to no avail, till……………THERE WAS YOU……Amazing, Fantastic, Inspirational, Gifted and TRUE. What a gift you are! Thank You for sharing with US. I took some photo’s to show my kids who as well are super heros at night. Keep drawing and keep your eyes to the sky, there is an eternal super hero who takes pleasure in you.

I am a huge fan of your work! I don’t know what it is, but when I see your drawings…I smile! And I want to see more and more! I love that you have developed a style that is yours. I am just now learning to draw (correctly) and your work inspires me to get better! Thank you!

This is good material. My son-in-law, Michael Greenholt, works at DisneyToon studios and was the animation supervisor for Tinkerbell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. You’re right about the lack of permanence in the animation industry. I’ll keep checking to see samples of your work. Do you have some type of ideal or ultimate project that you would like to do?

Hi Robert! Thank you so much for checking out my site and commenting. 😉 I appreciate it! That’s really cool that he got to work on those films, my girls LOVE the neverbeast one. It’s their favorite! My ultimate goal? I would die happy if I got to create along side brilliant artists and art directors in Disney, or Pixar.. I’d LOVE to be a part of any show they would let me be a part of.

Yes! I try to draw everyday! I was wondering, did you go to college? If so, where, and did you like it? If not, why? What did you do instead? B.T.W I’m not criticizing! I’m only in 8th grade but people are already asking me about it. I want to hear opinions from different people! Thank you for reading this! 😊

Wow, It’s nice to hear some of your background . I still don’t know about college. (But I have over 4 years to think it over!) It’s not that I think it’s bad but I want to make the right decision. I don’t want to feel forced to go just because everyone else does. My dream is to be a mom, artists and maybe a local missionary. I’m homeschooled and I hope to do the same for my kids. I’m 13 and it’s a lot to think about! I don’t want to worry about it but I don’t want to neglect the thought ether…
A little bit about me: I live in Tulsa OK, I love drawing, painting, reading, and talking with my best friend. I’m also in the early proses of writing a book. I have a mom and dad, and 3 older brothers ( no sisters).
Thank you again for reading a writing back. It means a lot.

Thank you for sharing your story! It is very inspiring! I am 21 and I just got married and I want to become a missionary one day as well but also incorporate my creative side and in some way make a living off of it! The world says its impossible and then I hear amazing stories like yours! I love your work and I was wondering do you do personalized sketches and if so how much? I would love to have your work in my house it would be an absolute honor!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you!

I just enjoy looking at your art. It always makes me giggle and I wish I could draw as well as you… I still enjoy art, though. My sisters are the best artists in my family and have drawn since however far back I can remember… Joanna wants to work for Pixar after doing some college years at Calarts if she gets excepted(which I have no doubt will happen). I’m glad you take the time to draw. I think if I were to meet you, you’d be a whole lot of fun to be around… Or that’s wht I gather from your drawings and just the fact that you like drawing, too! Oh yeah! I almost forgot to say, but, my mom was an MK, too! My grandparents were missionaries in the UAE and my mom was born there. They lived there until she was ten and she’s been going back for not-so-frequent visits… We all wish we could move there and continue telling God’s word to the people my mom has made friends with over the years.

Wow, your stuff is amazing. Every time I see a post from you on Instagram I kick myself that I don’t draw (meaning cartoon-style) more often. I do hand-drawn digital pop art, film posters, graphic design, branding, etc., but my passion since I was a kid was always cartooning. Very slowly getting back into it, partially inspired by you. So what do you do with your art, other than post on social media? And what’s your secret to getting so many followers on Instagram? My 4K (@plaiddesignstudio) pales to your 129K majesty! Keep up the excellence work!
